If you are wondering what to do in Ibiza this weekend, the answer is: almost everything, and most of it for free. 24–25 October 2026 is one of the last full weekends of the high season. Beach clubs are pouring their final cocktails, village squares are filling with folk dancers, runners are pounding the trails above Sant Antoni, and the clocks go back an hour on Sunday morning, which hands you a bonus hour of sleep or, if you prefer, an extra hour of sunset on the terrace. Here is how to make the most of it.
Saturday 24 October: Dalt Vila, Dancing and a Trail Marathon
Start early if you are a market person. The Mercadillo de Sant Jordi runs from 08:00 to 15:00 on the old hippodrome grounds, and it is the island's most local flea market: second-hand finds, vintage clothes and the occasional genuine antique. Over in Sant Antoni, the Mercado de Forada (10:00–16:00) is the place for local cheese, sobrasada, vegetables and crafts from Ibizan producers. And if you want the classic experience, Las Dalias in Sant Carles is open from 10:00 to 19:00 with live music and the hippy-market atmosphere it has had since 1985.
Sports fans will find the Ibiza Trail Marathon Festival (17th edition) starting from Sant Antoni's s'Arenal beach at 08:00. It offers three distances, including an 11 km Starter route for beginners, so even if you are not racing, the finish area is a great place to soak up the atmosphere. Golfers can follow the first day of the Eivissa Open, played across Golf Ibiza and Roca Llisa, with free entry.
The headline of the afternoon is One Last Summer Dance: Hippy House x Ibiza Spotlight 50 at Parc Reina Sofia, right beneath the walls of Dalt Vila. Running from 14:00 to midnight with free entry, it spreads across two stages, the Reina Sofia stage and the Baluard de Sant Pere, and it celebrates 50 years of Ibiza Spotlight. It is a very Ibiza way to say goodbye to summer: open air, sea breeze and the old town glowing above you.
Saturday Evening: Concerts, Sunsets and Women in Business
If your idea of a perfect evening involves music with a view, you have options. The Café del Mar Sunset Session in Sant Antoni starts around 18:00 with free entry and its trademark Balearic soundtrack. In Dalt Vila, the Ensemble Cristóbal de Morales performs a Renaissance vocal concert at 19:00 in the Arms Room of the MACE (Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa), set alongside Stefan Brüggemann's Cel d'Or installation, and entry is free. Prefer brass and woodwind? The Banda Simfònica Ciutat d'Eivissa plays a soloists' concert at Teatre Can Ventosa, also at 19:00 and free until the hall is full.
For something more relaxed, Can Jordi Blues Station hosts live music every Saturday afternoon (this week, an Elvis Presley tribute from Sandy Valey), while at 20:00 the Sant Antoni Cowboys play blues-rock classics at Cas Mestre on the es Cubells road. Also on Saturday afternoon, the Tanit Ibiza Congress & Awards 2026 brings its fifth edition to the Centre Cultural de Jesús from 17:00 to 22:00, a free celebration of women's talent on the island.
On the beach, Nassau Beach Club marks its Summer Season Closing from 13:00 with Mediterranean food, cocktails and an elegant seaside mood. If you have wanted to see a classic Ibiza beach club before it shuts for winter, this is your chance.
Sunday 25 October: Folk Traditions, Flamenco and the Clocks Going Back
Sunday is the day to see the island's traditional side. In Santa Gertrudis, the Fiesta Payesa starts at 11:00 in the village square with folk dancing, traditional games, a craft showcase and the sung and sonada payesa repertoire. At the Mercat de Forada from 13:00, the Festa des Pou de Forada (organised by the folk group Brisa de Portmany) is another day devoted to Ibizan culture, with ball pagès dancing and singing. The Trobada de Pobles at the Recinto Ferial wraps up its second day from 10:30, with stands of food, crafts, music and dance celebrating the diversity of communities living on the island.
Early risers might prefer the Ibiza Sprint Triathlon on the flat urban circuit, or a guided stroll through Dalt Vila: the free Itinerarios Patrimoniales walk Els orígens de Dalt Vila leaves the MACE at 10:30. If you would rather stay in the countryside, Can Bernat Vinya hosts a free afternoon of flamenco, rumba and sevillanas in its winery garden, and Sundays at Aubergine by Atzaró keeps the long-lunch tradition going with food and live music.
For a bit of wellness, Petunia Ibiza in Cala Carbó runs its morning yoga and sound-healing sessions from 08:00 (around €20), a gentle way to start a weekend.
Come evening, there are final-night parties across the island. Cala Escondida at the far end of Platja d'en Bossa closes its summer with a live set from the full band Soul Doctor from 18:30, free entry. La Luna Nell'Orto in Sant Miquel holds its season-closing garden fiesta from 13:00, with 40% off the food menu and live music. At 20:00 the sunset flamenco show at Tribu in Cala de Bou is the perfect Sunday finale, and Clab in the same bay has a jazz night with pianist Abby Pianoman at 20:30.
Practical Tips for the Weekend
- Clocks go back on Sunday. At 03:00 on 25 October they move to 02:00, so check event times and your alarm.
- Many closing events are guest-list or first-come. Arrive early, especially for free-entry beach and garden parties.
- Use the water. The Aquabus beach boat links Ibiza Town and Platja d'en Bossa from about €5, and Formentera ferries run daily if you want one last swim in the clear shallows.
- Pack a layer. Evenings are cooler by the sea, and outdoor concerts can get breezy once the sun sets.
- Check the times. Programmes can change at short notice, so confirm each event on its page before heading out.
