If you are wondering what to do in Ibiza this weekend, the answer for 23–25 October 2026 is wonderfully varied: chamber music in a historic hall, one of the last beach-club farewells of the year, village fiestas, hippy markets and free concerts in almost every corner of the island. The summer crowds have gone, the light is golden, and the island belongs to the people who live here. Here is our guide to the best of it.

Friday 23 October: Classical Music and Olive Curing

Friday's highlight is the second concert of the fourth Eivissa Clàssica chamber-music festival. Quintet Zèfir performs Los mundos idealizados, a programme of 19th- and 20th-century works by Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov and Grieg, in the Sala Capitular in Ibiza Town. It starts at 20:00 and tickets are just €8 in advance, which makes it one of the best-value evenings on the island. Arrive early and wander the old town's lanes beforehand.

Earlier in the day, food lovers should head to Ca n'Andreu des Trull in Sant Carles for the free hands-on olive-curing workshop (Taller de salar aceitunas). Two sessions, at 16:30 and 18:00, teach the traditional Ibizan method of brining olives, part of Santa Eulària's gastronomic-heritage programme. It is a lovely way to take a piece of local tradition home.

If you would rather keep it casual, the Mercat de Sa Cooperativa in Santa Eulària runs from the morning with local fruit, vegetables, cheese, wine and crafts. In the evening, the free Divendres de Cine screening at Can Jeroni in Sant Josep shows independent cinema in original version, and jazz fans can catch pianist and singer Abby Pianoman at Clab in Cala de Bou from 20:30, also free.

For a Friday night out, Flash holds its closing party at Pikes Ibiza in Sant Antoni, with free entry and music from 21:00. Further inland, La Tipi takes over Akasha at Las Dalias from 23:00 for a late, intimate dance-floor session (tickets from €15).

Saturday 24 October: Markets, Fiestas and a Beach Farewell

Saturday is the day to get out and about. Start with the island's markets. The Mercadillo de Sant Jordi, held on the old racecourse grounds, opens from 08:00 for second-hand finds, antiques and vintage clothes. The legendary Las Dalias hippy market in Sant Carles opens at 10:00 with fashion, crafts and live music, while the Mercado de Forada in Sant Antoni sells local produce, cheeses and sobrasada between 10:00 and 16:00. Over in the countryside, Juntos Farm hosts free Saturday workshops built around nature, food and community.

For something more traditional, the village of Sant Rafel de sa Creu celebrates its patron-saint fiestas. Sitting on one of the historic crossroads between Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni, Sant Rafel is known for its ceramics tradition, so it is worth browsing the pottery workshops and shops while you are there. Families can also look for the Consell d'Eivissa's children's ceramics workshop, a gentle introduction to Ibiza's clay-making heritage.

Then there is the beach farewell. Nassau Beach Club marks its Summer Season Closing on Saturday from 13:00, with Mediterranean food, cocktails and a day-long party on the sand. Entry is free, and it is one of the last chances this year to enjoy the beach-club atmosphere before the island quietens down for winter.

Prefer live music? Can Jordi Blues Station on the Ibiza–Sant Josep road hosts its Saturday concert from 13:00, this week with Sandy Valey and her Elvis Presley repertoire. Later, Akasha at Las Dalias stages its Supernova session from 16:00, an open-platform party where international labels take over on rotation.

Saturday Evening: Culture in Dalt Vila and Beyond

As the sun drops, Ibiza Town offers some of the weekend's best cultural options. At MACE, the Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa in Dalt Vila, the Ensemble Cristóbal de Morales performs a Renaissance vocal concert at 19:00 alongside Stefan Brüggemann's Cel d'Or installation. Admission is free, and the setting inside the old walls is hard to beat. At the same hour, the Banda Simfònica Ciutat d'Eivissa presents a soloists' concert at Teatre Can Ventosa, also free.

If you want to understand the old town better, book the free theatrical tour of Dalt Vila, a costumed walk through Renaissance Ibiza that brings the UNESCO-listed fortress district to life. And for sunset, you cannot go wrong with the nightly Sunset Sessions at Café del Mar in Sant Antoni, free to enter, with resident DJs playing from 18:00 on the seafront terrace.

Sporty Types: Trail Running and Open-Water Swimming

Athletic visitors will find plenty of action. The Ibiza Trail Marathon Festival (17th edition) is based in Sant Antoni and starts early on Saturday, with a Starter route of 11 km alongside longer distances. Meanwhile, IbiziOWS 2026, the open-water swimming event, runs from 23 to 25 October. Even if you are not competing, the trail finish and the swimmers make for a lively, healthy atmosphere around the west coast.

Sunday 25 October: Slow Down

Clocks go back across Spain in the early hours of Sunday 25 October, so you gain an extra hour of sleep, a useful bonus. Use it for a late brunch, a long coastal walk or a last swim. The Trobada de Pobles, a gathering organised by the Consell d'Eivissa for young people and local communities, wraps up its two days at the FECOEV fairground on 24 and 25 October.

Practical Tips for the Weekend

  • Check times locally. Many autumn events are small and run by town halls or independent venues, so times can shift. Confirm on the day.
  • Pack layers. Evenings are cooler, so bring a light jacket for terraces and sunsets.
  • Take a car or taxi for villages. Sant Rafel, Sant Carles and Sant Josep are easiest to reach by road, and parking is simple at this time of year.
  • Look for free entry. A surprising number of the weekend's best events cost nothing at all.
