Ibiza next week is a gentler, more thoughtful island than the one you knew in August. The clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, the evenings arrive earlier, and the calendar from 26 to 30 October 2026 fills with gallery openings, village concerts, sunset sessions and the first whispers of Halloween. If you are wondering what to do in Ibiza in late October, this is your week-by-week cheat sheet: unhurried, mostly free and very much local.
Clocks Back, Sunsets Earlier
In Spain the clocks go back one hour at 3:00 on Sunday 25 October, so Monday begins with the sun rising and setting an hour earlier on the clock. In practice that means golden hour lands in the early evening, a little after 6pm, and the best light of the day is perfect for a beach walk or a drink with a view.
The island's most famous sunset bar has adapted. Café del Mar in Sant Antoni runs its nightly Sunset Sessions with resident DJs and the ambient, Balearic sound it has been known for since 1980, and from Monday the music starts at 17:00 rather than 18:00. Entry is free, so arrive early, claim a spot on the rocks and let the sky do the rest. If you prefer something quieter, the same west-coast light works just as well from the promenade in Sant Antoni or a cliff-top path above one of the coves.
Art Week in Dalt Vila and Beyond
Ibiza's autumn culture scene is quietly excellent, and next week it peaks in the old town. Two exhibitions are open from Tuesday 27 October through to 1 November, both free:
- "I al mar, els somnis" by Hans Grass at Museu Puget. A large retrospective of the Swiss painter, with works inspired by Formentera. The museum sits in Dalt Vila, so combine it with a stroll along the walls. There is also an evening event at the museum on Monday 26 October at 20:00.
- "Cel d'Or" by Stefan Brüggemann at MACE. The Mexican artist transforms the Museu d'Art Contemporani d'Eivissa with an intervention conceived for the island. The museum is open from 10:00.
Out at Salinas, the Fundació La Nave Salinas presents "Naturaleza interior" by Colombian artist Carlos Jacanamijoy from 28 to 30 October, also free. It is a good excuse to combine art with a late-season walk along the salt flats and beach.
Tip: Dalt Vila is steep and cobbled. Wear proper shoes, go in the morning when it is cool, and finish with a long lunch down in Vila.
Live Music, Village Style
Ibiza's live-music heartbeat is in its bars and terraces. Next week gives you several friendly options:
- Can Jordi Blues Station hosts the rock band LaCalle on Thursday 29 October at 19:00, free. The grocery-bar is a favourite stage for local bands.
- Es Birra in Es Canar runs live music on Wednesday 28 October from 19:00. It pairs neatly with the Wednesday Hippy Market at Punta Arabí, which opens at 10:00 and remains the island's largest market.
- Music 4 Life at Coral Star Apartments in Cala de Bou plays a soul, rock and pop night on Tuesday 27 October at 21:00, free.
- La Mesa d'es Vedrà at Petunia Ibiza has Mediterranean food, views of Es Vedrà and live music on Monday 26 October from 20:00.
For a dance-floor fix, the intimate room Sigma keeps its deep-house and techno nights going on Monday and Tuesday from just before midnight (from €10), and Pikes Ibiza has its free Bathtub Club on Tuesday 27 October from 21:00.
Eat, Move and Unwind
Late October is a lovely time to slow down. A few ideas that fit the week:
- Miso Hungry at Bambuddha is a Wednesday evening buffet running through September and October 2026, from €20. Wednesday 28 October is one of the last chances this season.
- Morning wellness at Petunia Ibiza in Cala Carbó: yoga, animal flow and sound healing from 08:00, from €20, on selected mornings including 29 October.
- Group Social Trail Run on Wednesday 28 October at 09:00 is open to all levels and moves through pine forest and coastal trails at a friendly pace (from €4). The meeting point changes every week, so check before you go.
- Day trips to Formentera. Ferries from Ibiza port with Balearia start at 07:00 and the crossing takes about 30 minutes, with prices from €27.50. October is perfect for Formentera: fewer people, warm sea and long empty beaches.
A Preview of Halloween Week
From Thursday 29 October, the Ibiza Halloween Festival opens at Teatre Can Ventosa at 18:30 with the first official-selection short film session. The third edition brings four days of horror and fantasy cinema, with workshops, and entry to the opening session is free. If you are staying through the weekend, it is a charming rainy-day or after-dark plan that has nothing to do with queues.
Practical Tips for Ibiza Next Week
- Check times twice. Many venues have cut hours for the quiet season, and Mondays and Tuesdays are especially variable.
- Pack layers. Daytime can still feel like summer, but evenings by the sea cool quickly. A light jacket is useful.
- Book what matters. Ferries, boat trips and ticketed concerts can be booked in advance; markets, exhibitions and most live-music nights are free to drop in.
- Go local. Take the bus or a taxi to the village events, and enjoy the slower pace the island rewards in autumn.
