October in Ibiza has a strange, lovely rhythm to it. The season winds down, the beach bars pull in their umbrellas, and for a week or two the island feels like it belongs to the people who actually live here. And then, right at the end of the month, it throws one more party — because Halloween in Ibiza is not an afterthought. It is the island's last great excuse to dress up, and in 2026 it comes with a film festival, a terror tunnel, a children's rave and a handful of nights that will almost certainly be the final big ones of the year.
Here is everything worth knowing about Halloween in Ibiza 2026, from free horror cinema in the middle of Ibiza Town to the quieter, far older tradition that follows the morning after.
Ibiza Halloween Festival 2026: four days of free horror cinema
The best-kept secret of the island's Halloween calendar is not a club night at all. It is a film festival. Now in its third edition, the Ibiza Halloween Festival takes over Teatre Can Ventosa on Carrer Ignaci Wallis in Ibiza Town from 29 October to 1 November, and every single session is free.
- Thursday 29 October, 18:30 — Opening night, with the first block of official-selection short films.
- Friday 30 October, 18:30 — Day two of the official selection: slasher comedy, animation, psychological horror. A genuinely mixed bag in the best way.
- Saturday 31 October, 18:30 — A Halloween-night session devoted to Balearic short films, which is where the festival gets properly local.
- Sunday 1 November, 12:00 — A family fantasy and animation matinée, followed by the awards ceremony for the official sections, the Terror Express contest and the RICTUS art competition.
The festival spills out beyond the theatre too, with workshops, exhibitions and street performances around Vara de Rey and the Centre de Creació Jove C19. If you have ever wanted an excuse to spend an autumn evening in a proper old theatre watching Mediterranean filmmakers do horror on a shoestring, this is it. Free entry means seats go to whoever turns up early, so arrive twenty minutes before the session.
The Terror Tunnel at C19 on Halloween night
The Túnel del Terror at the Centre de Creació Jove C19 opens at 20:00 on 31 October, and it is the single most fun thing on the island that night if you are under thirty — or willing to pretend. It is an immersive, escape-room-style walkthrough with live actors, scares and challenges built into the route, run as part of the Halloween Festival. Also free.
A word of warning from experience: these things build queues fast once the Can Ventosa session empties out, so go early in the evening rather than late.
Halloween for families: a rave for small humans and a library workshop
Ibiza does Halloween with kids better than most places, largely because nobody here thinks a party has to start after midnight.
TinyRavers x Parco: Trick or Beat lands at Parco Ibiza in Sant Antoni on Saturday 31 October, 11:00 to 14:00. It is exactly what it sounds like: a Halloween rave for children, with real music, costumes and activities, finished in time for lunch and a nap. Free entry, and the costumes are genuinely competitive.
Earlier in the week, on Monday 26 October, the Vicent Serra i Orvay library in Sant Josep hosts a free Halloween-themed reading and writing workshop with storyteller Rosario Ferrer. Places are limited and it books out through the Sant Josep culture department, so sort it in advance if you have a child who likes being read to in Catalan or Spanish.
And on Sunday 1 November at 12:00, the Halloween Festival's family matinée at Can Ventosa closes the whole thing out with animation and an awards ceremony — a soft landing after a loud weekend.
Halloween night 2026: where to actually go out
This is the part most people are searching for, so let us be direct. Saturday 31 October is the last genuinely big night of the Ibiza year, and the options split neatly by what kind of evening you want.
Halloween at Pikes (Sant Antoni, doors 21:00, free entry) is the one locals talk about. Pikes turns to the dark side every Halloween — a little camp, a lot of chaos, and the occasional familiar face buried under something deeply unsettling. It is also the final night of the hotel's 2026 season, which gives it a certain weight. It is ticketed with no guestlist, and there is a pre-sale sign-up offering 24-hour early access, so register now rather than hoping on the night.
Haunted Sonic Temple at Club Chinois (Jesús, from 23:30, from €30) is the biggest production of the night, with Cuartero, Melon Bomb, Manu González and Lau on the bill. Chinois has had a strong year, and this is its proper send-off before the Trip closing.
Supernova Halloween at Akasha (Hotel Bless, Cala Nova, from 23:00, from €15) is the Las Dalias-adjacent option, with Santiago García, Igor Marijuan, Oriol Calvo, Audera, Words of Nio and residents Shadeh & Sena. Good room, good crowd, and considerably easier on the wallet.
TIMEmACHINE Halloween at EsBirra Ibiza in Es Canar (23:00 until 06:00, from €10) is the underground pick — minimal and house played entirely on vinyl, with Dana Ruh, Hugo Martinez and Malambo. If big-room production is not your thing, this is where to go.
And for something completely different: Pa'l Bailador Halloween Special at Casanova Summum in Sant Antoni Bay (22:00 to 02:00, free) is salsa and bachata in fancy dress, hosted by On Stage by Lucía Medina. Dancing in the literal sense.
Dia de Tots Sants: the tradition under the costumes
Here is the thing visitors tend to miss. Halloween is the import; Dia de Tots Sants — All Saints' Day, on Sunday 1 November — is the real Ibizan autumn ritual, and it is a public holiday across the island.
Families go to the village cemeteries in the morning with flowers. Bakeries fill with bunyols de vent and other autumn pastries, and if you only try one seasonal thing in Ibiza, make it those. Shops and offices close. Several villages pair the holiday with the opening weekend of their autumn patron-saint programmes, which means ball pagès, craft stalls and the kind of afternoon that has nothing to do with the island's reputation.
If you are here on 1 November, go to a village — Sant Miquel, Sant Joan, Santa Agnès — buy pastries, and watch the island be itself.
Practical notes for Halloween week in Ibiza
- Costumes are not optional. Ibiza takes fancy dress seriously. Half-hearted effort gets noticed. Shops in Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni stock the basics in the final week, but the good stuff sells out.
- Plan your journey home. Late-October bus services are on winter timetables, and taxis on Halloween night are the hardest of the year to find. Pre-book a transfer, or agree a ride-share in advance.
- Bring a jacket. Nights are dropping to around 15–17°C. That shoulderless costume will feel different at 03:00.
- Everything closes on 1 November. Stock up on Saturday if you are self-catering.
- The free events need no ticket but reward early arrival. Can Ventosa and C19 both fill up.
Halloween is the final flourish of the Ibiza year — the island's last loud weekend before it exhales into winter. Whether you want horror shorts in a theatre, a children's rave at midday, vinyl-only house until sunrise or a bag of bunyols on a Sunday morning, it is all here in the same four days.
