The summer of 2026 is signing off, and the last few nights of the season are some of the best of the year. If you are looking for the Ibiza closing parties this week, the island's open-air and countryside venues are saving their warmest farewells for 6–9 October: a cave venue near Sant Josep, a hippie-chic garden in the north-east, and a hotel terrace above Cala Nova. Add a run of free sunset sessions and small-stage concerts, and this is a surprisingly generous final week.

Here is how to plan it, day by day, with the practical details you will need.

Tuesday 6 October: The Grand Closing at Cova Santa

Cova Santa is one of Ibiza's most atmospheric venues: a natural cave and garden terrace tucked into the hills near Sant Josep. On Tuesday 6 October, its long-running Tuesday residency (PIV Ibiza Tuesdays) holds "The Grand Closing". The line-up features Archie Hamilton, Kellie Allen, Kepler, Klaudie, Prunk, Retrouve and Verso, starting at 19:00, with tickets from around €30.

Go early. The magic of Cova Santa is the golden hour on the terrace, when the light drops through the pines and the first sets begin. Taxis are scarce after midnight in the countryside, so book your return ride in advance or arrange a designated driver.

If you would rather keep the evening gentle, there are two free alternatives. The Café del Mar sunset session in Sant Antoni (number 188 in its nightly series) starts at 18:00 with the ambient, Balearic sound the bar has been famous for since 1980. Down at the southern end of Platja d'en Bossa, the beach bar Chiringuito Cala Escondida has singer-guitarist Moe playing on the sand from 18:30, also free.

Wednesday 7 October: Namaste's 28th Season Ends

Few parties on the island have the staying power of Namaste at Las Dalias. The Sant Carles venue has hosted it since 1998, and the closing party on Wednesday 7 October (from 19:00, tickets from €15) wraps up its 28th season. This year the night is split across three spaces, including a ceremonial stage for live ritual performance and a world-music area, which suits the market-meets-festival character of Las Dalias.

Dress comfortably, bring cash for the stalls if you want a keepsake, and arrive in daylight to see the gardens properly. For a beach alternative, the Sunwaves closing at Playa Soleil in Playa d'en Bossa also takes place on 7 October from 16:00 (from €25), a sunset-to-night session for anyone who prefers sand underfoot.

For something quieter, two free cultural evenings fall on the same date: a World Mental Health Day talk at Teatro Pereyra in Ibiza Town (18:00) and a documentary screening, "Donde brotamos", at Teatro España in Santa Eulària (19:00).

Thursday 8 October: Live Music and a Season-Ending Concert

Thursday is the best night of the week for live music. The headline is Pepe y Vizio at Las Dalias (20:00, around €25), closing the venue's concert season with a mix of flamenco and rap that blends tradition with street sound. It is a rare chance to hear that fusion in an outdoor garden setting.

The free options are just as appealing:

  • The Soul Connectors with Matteo Crocetti at Cala Escondida from 18:30, a weekly beachside concert.
  • Crossroad at Can Jordi Blues Station in Sant Josep from 19:00, with blues, rock and pop.
  • Mano a mano, a tango duo, at Cas Costas in Sant Jordi from 20:00.
  • Ibiza String Ensemble at the Auditori Caló de s'Oli from 20:30, opening an exhibition as part of the Cala de Bou fiestas.
  • Back to Mine at Pikes Ibiza in Sant Antoni, a free night with a Faithless DJ set from 21:00.

Friday 9 October: Cova Santa Closes the Season

The big finale is on Friday 9 October. The Cova Santa Closing Party runs from 16:00 into the night with Ame (live), Red Axes, Trikk, Iban Mendoza, Julya Karma and Magnetizm, with tickets from about €37. It is an all-day format, so the sensible plan is to arrive late afternoon, enjoy the sunset on the terrace, and pace yourself.

The same evening, Akasha at Hotel Bless in Cala Nova hosts the closing of "Tales of the Unexpected" from 23:00 (tickets from €20), preceded by a free pre-party at the Las Dalias café from 19:00. It is a neat way to combine an early evening in the gardens with a late finish by the sea.

Prefer to stay local? The Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent fiestas open officially on Friday at 20:00 with the traditional opening speech and a concert by the duo A mi aire in the village marquee, free to attend. In Ibiza Town, a free chamber-music concert of sonatas and songs by Miquel Àngel Roig Francoli begins at 20:30 in the Can Ventosa auditorium.

Not Ready to Party? Exhibitions and Slow Days

The season's end is also when the island's quieter side comes into focus. Several free exhibitions are open all week, including Aby Sánchez's first Ibiza solo show at Can Jordi Blues Station (until 19 October) and Melody Berthaud's "Remember Who You Are" at Aubergine by Atzaró (until 31 October). If the weather cooperates, boat trips and day cruises along the west coast are still running at autumn prices, and the water remains warm enough for swimming.

Practical Tips for Closing Week

  • Book tickets early. Closing parties at smaller venues sell out, and the online price is usually lower than at the door.
  • Check opening times. Many venues and beach bars shut in the days after their closing party. Cala Escondida, for example, plans to stay open until the 25th, but always confirm before you travel.
  • Plan your transport. Countryside venues such as Cova Santa and Las Dalias are far from taxi ranks, so pre-book return rides.
  • Pack a layer. October evenings by the sea can feel cool once the sun goes down.
  • Look beyond the headline. Some of the best moments of the week are free: a sunset set, a village fiesta, a guitar on the sand.
