The summer of 2026 is taking its final bows, and Ibiza's closing week is where the island does its goodbyes properly. Between Sunday 4 and Thursday 8 October, beach clubs, garden venues and sunset terraces each throw one last party, and in between there is live music on terraces from Cala de Bou to Platja d'en Bossa, most of it free. Here is how to spend the final days of the season like a local.
Sunday 4 October: One Last Sunday by the Sea
If you only get to one closing party, make it Blue Marlin Ibiza on Cala Jondal. The beach club's closing party runs from 5pm with Mason Collective, Khenya, Walther and Andy Baxter closing out the summer. Entry is listed as free, but reservations go through the venue, so book a table or a sunbed early if you want to be on the sand rather than watching from the back.
Prefer something earthier? Las Dalias in San Carlos runs its Sunday hippy market from 11am to 6pm and then rolls straight into Nido, a 4pm start built around organic house, Afrobeat and live instrumentation, from €15. It is the gentlest way to turn a market stroll into a sunset dance.
For something that feels more like a village feast, the Ballada pagesa at the Font de Cas Ramons in Santa Gertrudis starts at 11am with traditional songs, sonades and a popular frita de porc, all free. And at 12 noon in Ibiza Town, Eivissa Canta brings three choirs to Sa Peixateria, closing together with a traditional Ibizan song.
As the light drops, you have a choice of soundtracks. Café del Mar in Sant Antoni keeps its nightly Sunset Session going from 18:00 with ambient and Balearic sounds. Over in Cala de Bou, Querencia bring Sunday-evening flamenco to the terrace at Tribu from 8pm, and at 7:30pm the Tropicana chiringuito in es Jondal hosts live Latin music with Alma Cubana, free, with couples dancing on the sand. Late night, Pikes in San Antonio hosts Sundays at Pikes from 9pm with Chez Damier, Dave Seaman and Steve Parry, free entry.
Monday 5 October: Ushuaïa Says Goodbye
The big one on Monday is the closing party of David Guetta's F** Me I'm Famous!* residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza, listed from 5pm. If you would rather keep things low-key, the Solèy pre-party at Café Mambo with Francis Mercier starts at 6pm, free, warming up the sunset before the night moves on. And down on Playa Soleil, the Day Beach Party continues from 4pm.
For something entirely different, Monday also opens a five-day creative writing workshop at the Biblioteca Pública in Cas Serres with local writer Jose Morella, a quiet reminder that Ibiza's autumn belongs to people who live here too.
Tuesday 6 October: Live Music on the Sand
Tuesday is a good day to slow down. At Cala Escondida, the beach bar at the southern end of Platja d'en Bossa near the Torre des Carregador, singer-guitarist Moe plays on the sand until sunset from 6:30pm, free. Café Mambo hosts Lovely Laura & Ben Santiago for a saxophone set from 9pm, also free, as part of its Tuesday series.
If you are after a dance floor, PIV Ibiza Tuesdays holds its Grand Closing at Cova Santa, from 7pm with Archie Hamilton, Kellie Allen, Kepler, Klaudie and Prunk. Tickets start around €30.
Wednesday 7 October: Closings Pile Up
Wednesday is the busiest closing night. SUNWAVES closes its Ibiza chapter at Playa Soleil from 4pm, tickets from €25. Meanwhile Namaste wraps up its 28th season at Las Dalias from 7pm, from €15; it has run there since 1998 and splits the closing across a ceremonial Pachamama stage and two more spaces. At Pikes, David Morales plays from 9pm, free.
Early risers have a gentler option: the weekly Group Social Trail Run at 9am, open to every level, through the island's pine forests and coastal paths, about €4. The meeting point changes every week, so check before you go.
Thursday 8 October: The Quiet Encore
By Thursday, the island exhales. Tomorrowland Rooftop Sessions with Safari Surfers hit the terrace at Playa d'en Bossa at 6pm, free. Pepe y Vizio close the Las Dalias concert season at 8pm with flamenco meets rap, from €25. Or choose the free route: Tribu hosts Los del Varadero for rumba and pop, and Can Jordi Blues Station welcomes Crossroad for blues, rock and pop from 7pm.
Practical Tips for Closing Week
- Book ahead for Blue Marlin and Ushuaïa; closing parties sell out their tables first.
- Check opening times. Many venues announce their last day with little notice, and some beach bars (Cala Escondida, for example) are open only until the 25th.
- Dress for the evening chill. After sunset in October, a light jacket is welcome on exposed terraces.
- Use the free options. Much of the week's best live music, from Tribu to Can Jordi to Cala Escondida, costs nothing.
- Check Ibiza Calendar for last-minute changes: lineups and start times shift as the season winds down.
The season may be ending, but the island is not going quiet. Closing week is a chance to dance once more with a sea view, then settle into the slower autumn rhythm that locals love most.
