October is when Ibiza exhales. The big summer residencies take their final bows, the beach bars string up their last Sunday sessions, and the island quietly swaps crowds for golden light. If you are wondering what's on in Ibiza this week, the answer is: more than you would expect for the first full week of October, with a run of closing parties from Sunday 4 to Saturday 10 October 2026 sitting alongside free concerts, village fiestas and a traditional pagès gathering in the countryside.

Here is a day-by-day guide to making the most of it. Always check the venue for last-minute changes, and book ahead for anything ticketed.

Sunday 4 October: Last Sundays by the Sea

Sunday is the day Ibiza does best, and this one is a proper send-off. Start in the countryside at the Ballada pagesa at Font de Cas Ramons in Santa Gertrudis (11:00, free), a village-style gathering with a cantada pagesa, traditional sonades and a frita de porc. It is the kind of event visitors rarely hear about, and it is the island's living culture at its most unfiltered. Nearby, the Las Dalias Hippy Market in San Carlos runs 11:00 to 18:00 on Sundays, with crafts, fashion and food and free entry.

By lunchtime the beach clubs take over. Kinky Malinki returns to O Beach Ibiza from 13:00 (tickets from about €25), with David Penn, Barbara Tucker live and Jamie Love on the bill, and at Blue Marlin Ibiza the Closing Party on Cala Jondal starts at 17:00 with Mason Collective, Khenya, Walther and Andy Baxter, with reservations through the venue. Prefer something mellower? Café del Mar keeps its sunset sessions going from 18:00 with free entry, and the live-music calendar in the south-west includes flamenco at Tribu in Cala de Bou (20:00) and a night of jazz with Abby Pianoman at Clab (20:30), both free.

Night owls can finish at Sundays at Pikes in San Antonio. Music starts at 21:00 with Chez Damier, Dave Seaman, Il Bosco and more, and entry is free.

Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October: Big Names Say Goodbye

Monday brings one of the week's headline moments: the closing party of David Guetta's "F* Me I'm Famous!" residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza**, starting at 17:00 in Playa d'en Bossa. It is listed as a free-entry event on our calendar, but expect heavy demand, so check access details with the venue before you go. If you would rather keep things low-key, Cala Escondida at the south end of Playa d'en Bossa has live music on the sand from 18:30 on Tuesday, and the beach bar stays open until the 25th.

Tuesday evening belongs to PIV Ibiza Tuesdays: The Grand Closing at Cova Santa (from 19:00, tickets from €30), the final night of a 19-show residency in the cave-like venue near Sant Josep. It is a rare chance to see Cova Santa's gorgeous setting in its last-week mode.

Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October: Festival Energy and Live Music

Wednesday is a double-header of closings. SUNWAVES' Ibiza closing takes over Playa Soleil from 16:00 (from €25), bringing the Romanian underground festival's signature sound to Playa d'en Bossa. Over in San Carlos, the Namaste Closing Party at Las Dalias (from 19:00, from €15) marks the end of the venue's longest-running party, which has been going since 1998 and this year spreads over several spaces, including a ceremonial stage for live ritual performances. Back in San Antonio, David Morales plays Pikes at 21:00, free entry.

Thursday is a gentler pace. Pepe y Vizio close the season of concerts at Las Dalias (20:00, €25) with their blend of flamenco and rap. For free live music, try the tango duo Mano a mano at Cas Costas (20:00), the Ibiza String Ensemble at the Caló de s'Oli auditorium (20:30) for an exhibition opening, or the weekly concert at Can Jordi Blues Station. If you want a big night, Back to Mine at Pikes features a Faithless DJ set from 21:00, with free entry.

Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October: The Last Big Weekend

Friday is the day many seasonal regulars will circle. Cova Santa's Closing Party runs from 16:00 (from €37) with Ame live, Red Axes, Trikk and Iban Mendoza, and it is as close as it gets to a proper end-of-season festival. Later, Tales of the Unexpected wraps up its extended run at Akasha at Hotel Bless in Cala Nova, with a free pre-party at Las Dalias café from 19:00 and the closing session from 23:00.

Friday is also the start of the fiestas de Cala de Bou and Port des Torrent, opening at 20:00 with the pregón and a concert in the Cala de Bou marquee, free to attend. And if you fancy a different pace on Saturday, the Mini Open Tennis Ibiza 2026 at Ibiza Country Club in Sant Josep is free to watch from 10:00.

Beyond the Closing Parties: Free Culture All Week

It would be a mistake to see this week only through the lens of closing nights. Ibiza Town's cultural calendar is quietly strong in October. Eivissa Canta brings choral concerts to Sa Peixateria, a free literary workshop runs at the Biblioteca Pública in Cas Serres from Monday to Friday, Teatro Pereyra hosts a World Mental Health Day event on Wednesday at 18:00, and a chamber-music concert at Can Ventosa on Friday evening (20:30) is free.

Formentera has its own autumn programme, Tardor d'Art, running through the month. If you have a free day, a morning ferry from Ibiza port is easy, and the October sea is still warm.

Practical Tips for Closing Week

  • Book tickets early for Cova Santa, Playa Soleil and Las Dalias closings; some will sell out.
  • Check the date and time on the venue's official channels. Closing events can shift start times.
  • Bring layers. October evenings can be cool, especially at open-air venues and on boats.
  • Many venues are free. Pikes, Café del Mar, and a large number of restaurants and chiringuitos offer free live music.
  • Allow extra time for transport. Taxis are scarcer in the off-season, so plan your return in advance.

Browse every date, time and ticket link on the Ibiza Calendar events page, and check back daily, because new listings keep arriving as the week unfolds.
