How much does it rain in Ibiza in autumn?

Ibiza has a dry Mediterranean climate: most of the annual rainfall arrives between September and December, with October and November the wettest months. Expect short, heavy showers rather than whole days of rain. Check the AEMET (Spanish met office) forecast in the morning and save the indoor plan for the window most likely to be wet.

Caves, museums and exhibitions

Can Marçà Cave, in the cliffs of Port de Sant Miquel, is the classic rainy-day plan: a limestone cave system once used as a smugglers' hideout, with a guided visit of about 40 minutes through lit chambers and water features. In Dalt Vila, MACE (Ibiza's Museum of Contemporary Art) hosts Stefan Brüggemann's "Cel d'Or" installation in October, and Museu Puget shows a retrospective of painter Hans Grass; both are free. The Centro Cultural de Jesús rounds things off with temporary exhibitions.

Cinema, theatre and tapas

Cineforum Eivissa screens classics in their original language with a discussion and free entry, and Teatro Pereyra runs Candlelight concerts and shows through the autumn. From 21 to 25 October, Ibiza Town council's dTapasxIBZ contest turns the city's bars into an indoor tapas trail.

Wellbeing

The Ibiza Wellness Weekend (16–18 October, across Sant Joan and Santa Eulària) brings together yoga, therapies and wellbeing talks, with much of the programme at the Palau de Congressos. More calm ideas in our guide Ibiza without the clubs.
