The last day of September slides into October, and Ibiza does what it does every year: it exhales. The crowds thin, the light turns amber, and the island's calendar quietly rearranges itself around long lunches, live music and the final chapters of the summer residencies. If you are looking for Ibiza events on 1 and 2 October 2026, this is a wonderful moment to be here, because almost everything on the list feels like a farewell party held by people who genuinely like each other.
Thursday 1 October is the standout. It is the closing day for several of the season's longest-running weekly series, which means the island packs a full summer's worth of atmosphere into a single day. Here is how to spend it, from a slow morning to a very late night, plus a Friday afternoon worth planning around.
Start slow: yoga, exhibitions and a sea view
The gentlest way into October is a wellness one. From 1 to 4 October, Yoga Balance Ibiza runs a pilates and yoga retreat at Hostal La Torre in Cap Negret, on the west coast, facing what many locals consider the best sunset on the island. It is a small-group format that mixes mindful movement, rest and time outdoors, and places are limited, so book directly if it appeals. A separate four-day retreat combining yoga, Ayurveda, conscious hiking, kayaking and stargazing is also starting, capped at 12 participants.
If you prefer your mornings cultural, Formentera's autumn programme is kicking off with an exhibition by the artist Pamela Spitz at the Ajuntament Vell exhibition hall in Sant Francesc Xavier, open through the first days of October and free to visit. Back on Ibiza, there is a free talk and exhibition on women geologists at the Centre d'Interpretació des Amunts in Sant Llorenç, though it needs advance registration.
Golden hour on the sand: beach sessions that refuse to end
Thursday afternoons are when the island's beach venues put on their best show, and 1 October is the last time several of these series run this season.
Blue Marlin Ibiza at Cala Jondal hosts Amazona every Thursday, with Eli Rojas mixing Latino-electric fusion on the sand. Entry is free and the session runs from 1pm to 11pm, sliding from daytime lounging into sunset and beyond. It is one of the easiest ways to feel the south coast at its most relaxed.
O Beach Ibiza in San Antonio wraps up its Thursday O Beach Music residency today, a house-led gathering that has run since 21 May, with tickets from around €15. Over on the other side of the bay, Café Mambo stages its Thursday sunset pre-party with Hugel, free to enter, while Playa Soleil hosts its AFRODISE & MOOTS afro house residency from 6pm, blending Tulum warmth and flamenco texture with global rhythms. Tickets there start at €20.
Practical tip: on beach-club days at this time of year, arrive early. Autumn sun means shorter daylight, and the best tables go first. Bring a light layer for after sunset, because the sea breeze cools quickly.
The end of an era: Sven Väth's final T.R.A.N.C.E.
For lovers of long, hypnotic sets, the evening of 1 October carries something special. Sven Väth's T.R.A.N.C.E. returns to Las Dalias for what is billed as the closing of the 2026 series: an open-air garden set at the hippy-market venue, followed by the closing club session at Akasha at Hotel Bless. Väth has shaped Ibiza's sound since the island's early club years, and the format here is deliberately unhurried, one continuous journey from garden into club.
Tickets for the Las Dalias session start around €30, and a separate closing-party listing at Akasha shows free entry, so check both pages on Ibiza Calendar before you commit. Doors open early evening, which makes this one of the rare big-name nights where you can eat properly first.
Local flavour: flamenco, rumba and a botifarró feast
Some of the best nights on the island have nothing to do with DJs. On 1 October, the Festa del Botifarró o de sa Torrada takes over Sant Joan de Labritja from 7pm: a communal grill of botifarrons and other pork sausages, followed by a ball open to everyone. It is free, it is loud, and it is one of the truest expressions of village Ibiza you will find, especially now that summer visitors have thinned out.
Also at 7pm, the singer and guitarist Miguel de Miguel brings flamenco to Chiringuito Cala Escondida, which this season sits at the end of Platja d'en Bossa, near the Torre des Carregador. Entry is free, and the setting, with waves nearly at your feet, does half the work. Later, Tribu in Sant Antoni hosts Los del Varadero, a rumba and pop duo with a trumpeter, on the es Pouet waterfront from 8pm. And in Ibiza Town, WHO Dinner Show at the historic Teatro Pereyra pairs a meal with live cabaret in a former 19th-century theatre, stage and all.
Friday 2 October: Sonorama and Becky Hill
If Thursday is the goodbye, Friday is the encore. Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza begins on 2 October at the Auditori Caló de s'Oli in Cala de Bou, with music and gastronomy from noon across two days. The line-up includes Ginebras, Marlena, Peter Colours and Tu Otra Bonita, with tickets from €35. It is an unexpectedly warm, family-friendly festival that suits an early-autumn afternoon.
The same day, O Beach Ibiza presents Becky Hill, performing material from her album Rebecca alongside her festival favourites, with tickets from around €25. The venue's Friday pool party runs the same afternoon, its final weekly edition of the season.
Tips for planning your first week of October
- Book what matters. Closing nights and festivals sell out faster than mid-season events, because everybody wants a proper goodbye.
- Check times twice. Many residencies shift or end around this date; Ibiza Calendar lists the latest opening hours and any last-minute changes.
- Use the daylight. Sunset is noticeably earlier than in July, so plan beach time for the afternoon and dinner afterwards.
- Get around smartly. Taxis are scarce after midnight in autumn, so agree pick-up times in advance or stay near your venue.
- Mix it up. Pair one big event with something local, such as a village fiesta or a chiringuito concert, and you will see two very different sides of Ibiza in a single day.
Whether you spend Thursday at a sunset session, a botifarró grill or a garden dance floor, this is the week when the island shows you its softest side. Browse the full list of things to do in Ibiza this week on Ibiza Calendar, save your favourites, and enjoy the golden hour while it lasts.
