Ask anyone who lives here in October and you get a different answer: a baroque violin in an Ibiza Town theatre, a flamenco singer at a beach shack, an indie band on a stage above the bay at Cala de Bou. As the big summer residencies wind down, live music in Ibiza takes over the calendar, and the coming week (30 September to 6 October 2026) is one of the richest of the year.

Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza: indie, food and the bay at Cala de Bou
The headline event for Spanish-language music fans is Sonorama Ribera Goes to Ibiza, a two-day music and gastronomy festival in Cala de Bou on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October. Gates open from midday, and the mood is closer to a big village party than a superclub: daytime food, cold drinks, and bands playing through the afternoon and into the night.
The line-up is a who's who of the current Spanish indie scene, including Ginebras, Marlena, Peter Colours, Tu Otra Bonita, Anabel Lee, Comandante Twin, Éxtasis, Fermín Bouza, Kitai, Modelo, Oslo Ovnies and Tenda. Two stages share the programme: the Auditori Caló de s'Oli and the Venice Bay site.
Here is the useful part. Friday's activities are free, which makes it an easy, no-commitment way to sample the atmosphere. Saturday is ticketed and finishes with a post party. Tickets are released in tiers, with the first 100 at €35, the next 100 at €40 and the rest at €45, so if you are planning to go on Saturday, do not leave it to the last minute.
Eivissa Clàssica opens: a baroque night at Can Ventosa
If you would rather spend Saturday evening in a plush seat, Eivissa Clàssica launches its 2026 season on 3 October at the Can Ventosa auditorium in Ibiza Town. The opening concert, Spiritillo Mediterraneo, is led by violinist Cristina Prats Costa and friends, and it is a baroque programme that links Italy and Spain through dance rhythms, ornamentation and improvisation.
Expect works by Andrea Falconieri, Nicola Matteis, Gaspar Sanz, Santiago de Murcia and José de Nebra, played by a small ensemble of two violins, cello, baroque guitar and percussion. Doors open at 20:00 and tickets are remarkably good value: €8 online in advance or €10 at the box office on the day.
The night before, on Friday 2 October, Can Ventosa also hosts Debon canta Suau, an intimate free concert that sets the poems of Mallorcan writer Pere Suau to music. It is exactly the kind of small, human-scale evening that the island does best once the crowds thin out.
Posidonia on Formentera and jazz by the water
A short ferry hop away, the SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia festival returns to Formentera from 2 to 4 October, staging concerts in some of the smaller island's most distinctive settings as part of its autumn music programme. Formentera is at its most beautiful in early October, with warm water and quiet beaches, so it pairs naturally with a long weekend. Back on Ibiza, the jazz scene is quietly excellent. Clab in Cala de Bou has a full concert programme through the season, and veteran singer and keyboardist Abby Pianoman plays on Friday 2 and again on Sunday 4 October. A good jazz dinner by the water is one of the most underrated ways to spend a weekend night here.
On Friday, the garden at Can Bernat Vinya in the centre of Sant Josep hosts its weekly free concert. This week the band is Heritage. It is a relaxed, family-friendly option, and it lines up neatly with the last Sant Josep artisan night market of the 2026 season on the same evening.
Dance and stage: the Consell's autumn season at Cas Serres
Ibiza's cultural calendar also has a serious dance strand. The Consell d'Eivissa's Temporada de Danza 2026 brings two contemporary works to the Centre Sociocultural de Cas Serres this weekend. On Friday 2 October, Daniel Abreu's company presents Es aquí, a piece for adult audiences that reflects on uprooting and belonging. On Saturday 3 October, Osa + Mujika bring Lana, a contemporary dance work suitable for ages 12 and up that explores ideas such as success and expectation. Tickets for both are €8.
For something more contemplative, the immersive Cosmic Sound exhibition at the Nômade Temple in Portinatx blends contemporary art, design, music and wellbeing, with free entry listed for the run. It makes a lovely excuse to explore the far north of the island, which is dreamily quiet in autumn.
Sunsets with a soundtrack
None of this means the sun has stopped setting beautifully. The Café del Mar sunset sessions continue nightly in Sant Antoni, with resident DJs starting around 18:00, and entry is free. Sunset in early October falls around half past seven, so you can catch the whole show and still make an evening concert. If you prefer something with a little more energy, the season-closing Ibiza Rocks pool club party takes place on Wednesday 30 September, and the Café del Mar sunset programme also hosts the second day of Global Underground's 30th anniversary celebration on Friday 2 October.

- Book the ticketed shows early. Sonorama's tiered pricing rewards early buyers, and Eivissa Clàssica is a small room.
- Check the times. Many autumn concerts start earlier than summer nights out, often at 20:00 or 21:00.
- Plan your transport. Buses thin out in October, so a taxi or a lift-share is worth arranging for evenings in Cala de Bou or Cas Serres.
- Bring a layer. Evenings by the sea can turn cool once the sun drops, especially on open-air terraces.
