Es Paradis Opens, Es Vedrà Glows & a Free Concert Tonight: Ibiza This Week (April 14–20, 2026)

The 2026 Ibiza season gets its first Tuesday night as Ibiza Records opens at Es Paradis. Add a sunset sail to Es Vedrà, a free charity concert in Santa Eulalia, and the island's best sea caves — here is what is on this week.

April has its own magic in Ibiza. The roads are still navigable, the sea is crystalline without a crowd, and this week brings a milestone: Es Paradis throws open its doors for the 2026 season. Add a charity violin concert tonight, sunset sails past the legendary Es Vedrà, and the island's oldest smuggler's cave hiding up in the north, and you have all the reason you need to be here right now.

The Season Starts Tonight — Ibiza Records at Es Paradis

Es Paradis, the cathedral-like venue in San Antonio with its famously ornate interior and glass pyramid ceiling, kicks off its 2026 weekly residency tonight (Tuesday, April 14). Ibiza Records — the vinyl-fuelled social media sensation that builds serious momentum across Instagram and TikTok — returns for a second consecutive year, playing every Tuesday through October 27.

The concept is beautifully simple: classic house and trance, played the way they were meant to be heard. Think floor-filling anthems from the golden era of Ibiza, the kind that unite people who were here in the 90s and first-timers who fell in love with the island through a playlist. The centrepiece is an all-vinyl DJ set — no laptop, no safety net, just crates, needles, and the music that built this island's reputation.

Doors open at 23:45. Tickets: €25–35. Book in advance at clubtickets.com.

Chase Es Vedrà at Sunset

If you do one thing on the water this week, make it the sunset boat trip to Es Vedrà from San Antonio. Departing at 4:30pm in April, this four-hour cruise takes you along Ibiza's most dramatic western coastline — past Cala Bassa, Cala Conta, Cala Tarida, Cala Molí, Cala Vadella, and Cala d'Hort — before circling the spectacular basalt rock of Es Vedrà itself.

Es Vedrà is the island's most mythologised landmark: a near-vertical rock rising 382 metres from the sea, home to no permanent inhabitants, declared a strict nature reserve, and the subject of legends stretching from Phoenician sailors to 20th-century mystics. Seeing it at golden hour from the water is one of those Ibiza experiences that genuinely rewires how you think about the place.

Drinks and finger food are included. There is a swim stop at Cala Bassa or Cala Conta depending on sea conditions. Price: €23–45 per person. Depart from the Captain Nemo kiosk at San Antonio port.

Tonight's Free Event — Benefit Concert in Santa Eulalia

This evening also brings something quieter but no less special to the island's calendar. Violinist Linus Roth and Japanese pianist Yumiko Urabe perform a benefit concert at the Centre Cultural de Jesús in Santa Eulalia, starting at 9:00pm. The programme includes Beethoven, César Franck, and Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole — serious classical music in an intimate setting.

Entry is free with a minimum donation of €10, with all proceeds going to the Asociación Ibiza y Formentera Contra el Cáncer (IFCC), a charity that has been supporting cancer patients and families on the islands for 25 years. Ibiza's cultural depth surprises visitors who come expecting only beach clubs — this is that depth, in one Tuesday evening.

Go Underground — Can Marçà Cave Tour

For a completely different perspective on the island, head north to Port San Miguel for the Can Marçà Cave Tour. This cave was used by smugglers for over a century before it was opened to visitors, and the guided tours that run every 45 minutes (until 5:30pm in April) combine its natural geological drama with a sound and light show that tells the story of the island's shadowy past.

Stalactites, underground lakes, and passages worn smooth by generations of contraband traders — it is history you can stand inside. Guided tours run in multiple languages and last approximately 40 minutes. Price: €9–15. The cave is well-suited for families and is one of the best things to do on the island that has nothing to do with a beach.

Location: Port San Miguel, north Ibiza.

Morning on the Water — Cave and Beach Hopping by Boat

If you want to combine sea caves with open water, the Cave and Beach Hopping Boat Tour from Take Off in San Antonio is one of the week's standout experiences. Three hours along the western coast, exploring sea caves accessible only by boat, swimming in clear water at beaches with no road access, and spending time with paddleboards and snorkels on deck.

Morning tours depart at 10:30am; afternoon departures at 3:00pm. Price: €70–100 per person. Meeting point: Take Off desk, Av. Doctor Fleming 5, San Antonio — arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. No previous experience necessary and suitable for all ages.

Eat Your Way Through Ibiza Town

Running Tuesday through Saturday evenings, the Tasting Ibiza Authentic Food Tour is one of the best introductions to the island's actual culinary identity. Starting at the Vara de Rey statue at 7:00pm, the tour takes small groups through markets and local restaurants, stopping to taste the dishes that define ibizenco cooking: bullit de peix (slow-simmered fish stew), sofrit pagès, and flaó — the local anise and mint cheesecake that people keep returning to.

This is the kind of tour where you leave knowing not just what the food tastes like but where it comes from, who still makes it properly, and which neighbourhood place has been getting it right for decades. Price: €119 per person. Groups are small; book ahead to secure a spot.

Practical Notes for the Week

The weather in mid-April is holding at 19–22°C during the day — warm enough for the water, cool enough for walking. The Es Paradis residency runs every Tuesday through to late October, so if tonight does not work, it is coming back. But the charity concert and the food tour are running right now, and both are worth planning around.
