Cala Gració: The Miniature Cove That Captivates

Sometimes the best things come in small packages. Cala Gració is living proof of that saying. This diminutive cove, barely a whisper of sand nestled between rocks, is one of the most enchanting gems in the Sant Antoni area.

At Cala Gració, everything is small: the beach is small, the waves are small, the depth is shallow. But the beauty is immense.

Cala Gració is just a ten-minute drive from Sant Antoni, or a thirty-minute walk along the coastal path that starts from the port. It's one of the most accessible coves in the entire area, perfect for families with small children or for those who don't want to overcomplicate things to enjoy a spectacular swim.

Turquoise Waters in Miniature

The water at Cala Gració has that intense turquoise color that characterizes the best coves in Ibiza. Being so sheltered and protected, the water is always perfectly calm, like a natural swimming pool.

The entrance is fine sand and the depth increases very gradually, making it the ideal place for children and less confident swimmers.

Rocks as Natural Armchairs

On the sides of the cove, the rocks descend into the water forming small natural platforms perfect for sitting with your feet dangling over the sea. It's one of my favorite pastimes: sitting on a rock with a book, lifting my gaze from time to time to contemplate the blue of the water.

Discover Cala Gracioneta: walk along the path to the right and you'll find the even smaller sister cove, with a charming beach bar serving cocktails and tapas with direct sea views. Sipping a gin and tonic at sunset here is one of Ibiza's accessible luxuries.

Cala Gracioneta: The Secret of the Secret

If you walk along a path to the right of Cala Gració, you'll reach its even tinier sister: Cala Gracioneta. It's literally a thirty-meter patch of sand surrounded by pine trees and rocks, with a charming beach bar that looks like it was designed for a romantic film.

The tables of the beach bar are practically in the sand, and from them you can see the crystal-clear water just two meters away. It's a local institution and one of those places where you can spend hours without noticing the time pass.

The Coastal Path from Sant Antoni

One of the best ways to arrive is by taking the coastal path from Sant Antoni. The route hugs the coast passing by several coves and viewpoints. It's an easy walk, suitable for everyone.

  • Duration: about 30 minutes from Sant Antoni port
  • Difficulty: easy, suitable for all ages
  • Best time: early morning or at sunset to avoid the heat
  • What you'll see: several hidden coves, viewpoints and cliffs
  • Essential: comfortable shoes, water and a camera

Practical Information

  • How to get there: by car (10 min from Sant Antoni) or walking along the coastal path (30 min)
  • Parking: small parking area near the cove; arrive early in summer
  • Cala Gracioneta: 5-minute path to the right; beach bar with reservation recommended
  • Ideal for: families with small children, couples, readers
  • Services at Cala Gració: no beach bar; bring your own food

Cala Gració proves that you don't need a sprawling beach to have a perfect day. It has more charm per square meter than many large beaches, and I guarantee you'll return again and again.
