Best Things to Do in Ibiza This Weekend: April 3–5, 2026

The first proper spring weekend is here and Ibiza is waking up beautifully. From Pacha's pre-season sessions to Las Dalias market, sunset cocktails and boat trips back on the water — here's your insider guide to making the most of April 3–5 on the White Isle.

There's a special kind of magic that descends on Ibiza at the very start of April. The fierce summer crowds are still months away, the almond trees have already dropped their blossoms, and the island exhales — slower, warmer, full of possibility. If you're here this weekend, trust me: you've timed it perfectly.

As someone who lives here year-round, I'll tell you that the first proper spring weekend is one of my absolute favourites. The locals come out, the terraces fill up, and the venues that have been quietly ticking over through winter suddenly shift up a gear. Here's everything worth doing from Friday night through to Sunday evening.

April pre-season nights in Ibiza have an energy all their own — intimate, electric, and entirely free of summer tourist frenzy.

Friday Night: Pacha Opens Its Doors

Pacha Ibiza is one of the very few clubs on the island that operates through the shoulder season, and on a Friday night in April, it's a genuinely wonderful experience. None of the hour-long queues of August, no €30 drinks — just a beautiful club, a great sound system, and a crowd who actually wants to be there. The Funky Room, Pacha's legendary downstairs space, pulses with house, disco and soul; upstairs, the main floor sets up for a more contemporary electronic sound.

If Pacha feels a bit much for a first night, head to the cluster of bars around Sant Rafel de sa Creu, the village in the centre of the island that sits between Ibiza Town and San Antonio. Bar Costa is the spiritual heart of it — a cosy, character-filled spot where you might end up sharing a table with a DJ who played Amnesia in 1992. The village has a handful of restaurants and smaller bars and it fills up on Friday evenings with a pleasantly mixed crowd of islanders and in-the-know visitors.

Saturday: Las Dalias Market & Afternoon Sunshine

Every Saturday, rain or shine, 52 weeks a year, the Las Dalias Hippy Market in Sant Carles de Peralta takes over. April is arguably the best time to visit: the stalls are set up, the artisans are relaxed, and you can actually move around and have a conversation with the people selling things. You'll find handmade jewellery, leather goods, flowing linens, crystals, organic foods, and a dozen different food stalls. The smell of incense, grilled food and flowers hits you the moment you walk in through the bougainvillea-framed entrance.

Las Dalias opens from around 10:00 in the morning and runs until dusk. Go early for the best pick of the stalls, stay for lunch — there are always good options, from fresh fruit juices to paella and tagine — and let the afternoon drift gently by.

April events in Ibiza carry a joyful, carefree energy — the crowds are small enough to feel personal.

Saturday Evening: Sunset in Style

By mid-afternoon, point yourself towards the west coast. The sunsets here in early April are extraordinary — the light turns a deep amber and the air smells of rosemary and sea salt. Cap des Falcó, near the salt flats of Ses Salines, is a quieter sunset spot that the locals love. Bring a picnic and a bottle of local wine from Can Rich, the island's own bodega in Sant Mateu, and watch the day close.

If you want to do it in style with a cocktail in hand, Experimental Beach by Cala Bassa runs sunset sessions through the spring — it's a chic, relaxed spot with excellent drinks and spectacular views over the water. Alternatively, the chiringuito at Cala Jondal typically reopens for the season around now, and it's worth the drive for the combination of views and atmosphere.

For Saturday night proper, back in Ibiza Town there's always something going on in the marina and around the old town. The bars and restaurants of La Marina district are lively on Saturday nights even in April; try Bar 1805 for creative cocktails or head up into Dalt Vila for dinner at one of the restaurants tucked inside the medieval walls. The view over the port at night from up there never gets old.

For those who want to dance on Saturday night, Pacha and a handful of Ibiza Town bars keep the energy going well into the small hours.

Sunday: Slow Mornings & Boat Trips

Sunday in April Ibiza belongs to long breakfasts and sea air. The boat trip companies are starting to run their routes again after winter — a morning or afternoon cruise around the island, stopping at a cala or two for a swim, is one of the purest pleasures Ibiza offers and in April the sea is already clear, if still a little brisk. Check the port in Ibiza Town or Santa Eulària for operators running half-day trips; prices in shoulder season are considerably more reasonable than peak summer.

If you'd rather keep your feet on land, Sunday mornings in Santa Eulària des Riu are lovely. The promenade fills up with walkers and cyclists, the café terraces are sunny, and the weekly market (running year-round near the seafront) has fresh produce, flowers and a few craft stalls. It has a genuinely local feel on a Sunday morning in April.

For Sunday lunch, this is the season to seek out the traditional fincas and rural restaurants that get overwhelmed in summer. Can Pau in Sant Joan, or Can Caus near Santa Gertrudis, are the kinds of places that do proper Ibizan cooking — slow-roasted lamb, sofrit pagès, greixonera for dessert — in beautiful, unhurried surroundings. Book ahead though; even in April, word gets around.

The outdoor-event spirit is alive in Ibiza from April onwards — whether it's a market, a beach party or a festival warm-up.

Practical Tips for This Weekend

April weather in Ibiza is genuinely gorgeous — expect highs of around 20–23°C and long, bright days. It can be breezy in the evenings, so pack a light layer for after sunset. Most beaches are swimmable for the hardy (the sea sits at about 17–18°C in early April), and the island's roads are mercifully free of traffic.

One local tip: if you're planning to eat out this weekend, avoid booking through third-party apps and call the restaurant directly. Owners appreciate it, and you often get a better table and warmer service. It's the way the island still likes to work, y a mí me parece bien — and honestly, it suits me just fine.

Whatever you end up doing, take it slow. The season ahead will bring plenty of noise and spectacle. This weekend, Ibiza is still in its quieter, more intimate spring mode — and that, if you ask any local, is when she's at her most beautiful.
