About this event
The Cova de Can Marçà sits in the cliffs above San Miguel with chambers that drop 79 metres into the earth. Smugglers used these passages for decades before the cave opened to visitors, and the geological formations—stalactites, stalagmites, underground lakes—remain largely untouched. The 40-minute guided tour moves through pools and caverns with atmospheric lighting and sound that emphasises the scale and silence of the space. Tours run in multiple languages and suit all ages.
The Can Marçà Cave Tour operates year-round from the Port of San Miguel. May through October, tours depart every 30 minutes between 10:30am and 7:30pm. November through April, visits run every 45 minutes from 10:30am to 5:30pm. The cave's depth and the quality of its mineral formations make this one of Ibiza's underrated geological landmarks, less crowded than some island attractions but genuinely compelling if you want to understand the landscape beyond the beaches.
